Bio:Originally from Philadelphia, Excel relocated to L.A. in early 2009 and has quickly become one of SoCal’s most sought after DJs. Once you experience one of his club performances, you’ll understand why. Each DJ set is a sonic menagerie; he takes you from house to hip hop to 80s to electro to classic funk & soul and beyond. Club-goers don’t even notice the changing genres because they only know one thing: they just want to keep dancing. Excel started DJing in the early 90s and hasn’t looked back since. He honed his craft with some of Philly’s DJ pioneers and performed at local parties and clubs until he finally broke through. Now he spins at events, celebrity parties and clubs all over the U.S. (NYC, Miami, Las Vegas, the Bahamas). In 2000, he founded a DJ crew called The Skratch Makaniks, which now features prestigious DJs from all over the country.
Last month, Scratch Events traveled all the way to Manchester, TN for the four-day Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival. We provided our event services for State Farm and Fuse TV.
Fuse Television
At the Fuse Barn, video DJ E-6 entertained the masses by spinning music video sets throughout each day. In addition to enjoying the videos, guests could also create their own painted LPs at our SpinArt stations.
State Farm At the State Farm tent, we provided live DJ performances and our unique Scratch & Burn activity, where each guest received a DJ lesson and a copy of their own scratch session on a branded State Farm CD.
